Side 1: a full bouquet of flowers (swoon) hovers above the Italian "Per voi/ For you." The bouquet offering is a common motif seen in English and French seal sets from the same time period. Sent to a close friend, spouse, or paramour, this little bouquet stamped in wax would have symbolized all of the sweetness and romance (softness, perfume, etc.) of the real thing.

Side 2: The Italian, "non cambio che dopo morte," which translates to "I am steadfast until death" or "I am unchanging until I fall." Aspen leaf imagery. A reassurance that, despite distance, love and friendship can remain strong.
