The dragon bracelet. Made to celebrate the ancient festival of Michaelmas during the fall equinox and harvest time when the days grow shorter and colder. The legend of St. Michael defeating the dragon is told each year to empower us to defeat the dragons in our lives that seem to emerge when the sun shines less and to remind us of all we have already overcome.

Each Japanese seed bead is strung by hand and then carefully crocheted around to weave together a strong but flexible loop, tying together beginning and end. The beads are all intentional reminders of what we are and want to become- care-full, strong and flexible, created with time, love and skill.
