Pansy Pendant

$1,500.00

Artist: Thistle & Bess

Part of our new Language of Flowers Fine Jewelry Collection. From the French pensée meaning “thought,” pansies mean “think of me” or “you occupy my thoughts.” Often used to express feelings of love and adoration, tender attachment, concern and compassion.

Our Pansy necklace is based on an antique design, featuring five Pink Tourmaline petals and a pearl center, set in solid 14k Yellow Gold.

*The stones in each necklace are hand picked for a colorful ombre effect. Please note that there will be variation in the color of the stones, as each pendant is one of a kind. The pendant you receive may not match the pendant shown in the photographs exactly.

The pendant measures approximately 20mm.

Sold as an individual pendant, shown on a 16”-18” diamond cable chain. Shop our chain selection here.

This T&B fine jewelry collection is inspired by the Victorian Language of Flowers, where different flowers were used to represent and communicate feelings in a time when proper etiquette discouraged open displays of emotion. Gifting certain flowers with hidden meanings was an acceptable way to communicate feelings of love, friendship and even distaste. Gift a Daffodil to celebrate new beginnings, a purple Hyacinth to ask for forgiveness, Lilacs for new love or even Basil to express hatred. Flower meanings were taken from many places,  including literature, mythology and religion. Victorians took the Language of Flowers concept and applied it to jewelry as well, giving tokens of affection that would last.
