Shopping Small This Holiday Season

Here is my face, the woman behind Thistle & Bess, and my annual reminder of how important it is to shop small where you can this holiday season. In an age where it is harder and harder for small brick and mortar businesses to survive, there are so many reasons to support the independently owned businesses in your community. Here are a couple of things that drive our small business that you just can’t get on Amazon:

✨CONNECTION✨We strive to build genuine connections with our customers, team members and artists that we work with. We also hope to inspire and encourage our customers and community to build connections with one another in our space and through the handmade specialty goods that we carry. So many of you have become an important part of my life over the years. Those personal connections and relationships are the true reason why I do what I do.

✨THOUGHTFULNESS✨We are deliberate and thoughtful about the brands and artists that we carry at our shop, paying particular care to work with companies that share similar values that we do. We thoughtfully choose to carry items that have a unique story and artistry. We hope to inspire others to share these thoughtful goods with others in their lives as well. Curating a truly unique and meaningful collection of goods is my jam.

In a world where things often feel heavy and depressing, we strive to offer a moment of joy and fun when you interact with our business. We appreciate a good sense of humor and hope to instill a lighthearted feel in our spaces and with our goods.
